Our reception is open 9 am to 7 pm daily, except Christmas Day when we are open for pre-arranged check-ins only.

If you are arriving after 7 pm please contact us to make late check-in arrangements.

For accommodation please lock your room door and put the key in the drop box by the office door. For sites please put your amenities key in the drop box by the office door.

The Urenui Estuary, river and beach are breeding grounds for many native birds, such as Oyster Catcher, Spoonbills and Little Blue Penguins. As a result, dogs and family pets are simply not allowed in this area under any circumstance. Although we love animals, we cannot allow dogs or any other pets within the campground or surrounding areas. Of course, registered disability assist dogs can be on-site with their owners at any time.

Your registered disability assist dog (Note 1) is very welcome, but we do like to know before your arrival if possible. Please supply information about your dog when you book.

Note 1. Disability Assist Dogs.

Under the Dog Control Act 1996, a ‘disability assist dog’ means a dog certified by one of the following organisations as being a dog trained to assist (or as being a dog in training to assist) a person with a disability:

(a) Hearing Dogs for Deaf People New Zealand
(b) Mobility Assistance Dogs Trust
(c) New Zealand Epilepsy Assist Dogs Trust
(d) Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind
(e) Top Dog Companion Trust
(f) An organisation specified in an Order in Council made under section 78D. The Dog Control Act 1996 is administered by the Department of Internal Affairs
